Checkpoint alerts like this are a helpful reminder for the whole community, especially around holidays and weekends. New drivers in New York learn about impaired driving long before they ever face a checkpoint, because the topic is part of the required 5 hour pre-licensing course that https://5hour-class.nyc/ offers online in English or Spanish. Understanding how even a small amount of alcohol affects reaction time is the best reason to plan a sober ride ahead of time, and posts like this one help spread that message.
